BSG® coordinates plan renewals with the current vendors and review renewals on an annual basis.
Contract reviews are performed to ensure consistency with all of the clients plan provisions including reviewing provisions to ensure billing procedures, dependent definition and termination provisions are appropriate. Provisions providing employer protections and liability limits, acquisition procedures and appropriate ERISA language are often added.
Plans are marketed to assure competitiveness. BSG® requests proposals from several vendor competitors, identifying current plan designs, rates, contributions, participation, employee census, geo-access analysis, eligibility process and billing process.
By using our analytical tools (i.e. HCSM) and actual loss ratio analysis, BSG® negotiate fees for each plan with the respective vendors.
After researching cost effective plan changes for each coverage by plan, BSG® coordinates the final plan design change decisions with vendors and negotiates new pricing based on these plan design changes.
BSG® can be involved in the daily management of the vendors as much or as little as our client desires. We are comfortable and capable of being the main contact point for all the vendors or acting as a liaison between the client and the vendor.
