An option under a flexible benefits plan. Expenses paid for uninsured medical or health care services such as vision, hearing, and dental care (deductibles, copayments/coinsurance, exams, for example) are reimbursable by the employer on a nontaxable basis provided that rules established by the Internal Revenue Service are met.
