Wisconsinites, See Us In September

If you are in the Wisconsin area, or if you just want to enjoy September in The Dells, check out the 19th annual wellness conference sponsored by the Wellness Council of Wisconsin. Last year's conference had great speakers, lots of vendors and was well-attended. This year the conference will be held on Tuesday, September 15 and WellBlog moderator Kailin Alberti will be there at our vendor booth. For more information, see the Wellness Council website.

Who We Are; Why We're Here

Do you have an employee wellness plan? How is it going? Got any tips to share?

That's what this blog is all about. The Benefit Services Group, Inc. is reaching out through e-space to foster dialogue around efforts to impact wellness, especially in the employer - employee setting. We are a benefits consulting firm who entered the wellness arena back in the mid 1990's. We've been watching wellness ebb and flow for over a decade.

Regular moderators for this blog include:

Kailin Carroll Alberti - With a master's level of education in nutrition, and seven year’s experience as a health and fitness coach, Kailin holds the position of Wellness Coordinator within our firm. She will be writing on the nuts and bolts of planning and running programs, plus specific health-related issues.

Sue Thomas, GBA, RHU - Sue has over 20 years of experience working in employee benefits, especially compliance aspects. Her contribution to our blog will be to provide a benefits compliance perspective. Keep in mind, though, that we are not licensed to provide legal advice and you should always check with a real live attorney about anything you read here.

Tess Richardson, MA - My specialty is communication and marketing. I'll be writing and fielding your questions about promoting your programs and communicating with your employees.

We'll all discuss wellness-related news that crosses our desks, our own experiences with our in-house wellness program, and we hope, from time to time, to bring in guest writers.

So, tell us what's worked for you, and what hasn't. Tell us about attempts to measure ROI, about rolling out health risk assessments, about promoting events and keeping participants motivated.

Jump right in. Let's start a conversation and see if we can help each other deal with wellness.
