The Benefit Services Group aims to hire and retain the most talented employees in the benefits industry. Following hire, pursuit of industry designations and on-going training are highly promoted by the company, and rewarded through individual recognition and awards. As a result, our benefits consulting staff have earned many professional designations, thereby enriching their experience, broadening perspective, and attaining a breadth of benefits knowledge that distinguishes BSG® from its competitors. 

Pre-eminent among the professional credentials is the CEBS designation (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist). This designation is earned by passing eight examinations for college-level courses covering a wide range of benefits topics. Employees study during their personal time, demonstrating a strong commitment to expanding their knowledge and strengthening their careers in benefits.

In addition to professional designations, all of our benefits consulting staff are licensed by the state of Wisconsin in Life and Health Insurance, while as a corporation, BSG® is licensed in many states. The designations currently held within our benefits consulting department are:

In addition to obtaining state licenses and professional designations, BSG® benefits consulting staff regularly participate in tele-web training seminars sponsored by nationally-recognized organizations such as the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, Health Affairs/The Policy Journal of the Health Sphere, and the Employee Benefits Institute of America. These seminars permit BSG® staff to stay informed about the latest benefit issues and trends. In turn, our clients receive educated, reliable solutions to their benefits concerns.

 

IT Designations Description Number of Employees
Certified Novell Administrators 
(CNA)
Provide on-site administration for software users in a variety of work environments, including professional offices and small businesses, workgroups or departments, and corporate information services (IS). In short, CNAs handle the day-to-day administration of an installed Novell networking product: NetWare 6, NetWare5, NetWare 4.11 (InternetWare)or GroupWise. 1
Certified Novell Engineers 
(CNE)
Certified Novell Engineers (CNEs) provide all the services and support of the Certified Novell Administrators (CNAs) and also are trained in design, installation, advanced administration and performance issues relating to computer networks.

CNE's must pass at least six tests such as Networking Technologies, Administration & Advanced Administration, Support & Services as well as other Novell and non Novell course work. While specializing on the Novell Platform the CNE also encompasses parts of Microsoft's World.
